What is the GSM of the towels?

Traditionally, waffle weave towels aren't measured by GSM (grams per square meter). Our waffle towels are woven flat and designed to shrink after washing to form their honeycomb texture, so judging waffle weave towels by GSM doesn't quite work. When do you measure them? Before you wash them, or after? Or after they've been washed several times, since the GSM becomes higher as the towel continues to shrink and become smaller? Plus, a lower GSM in waffle weave does not reflect negatively on a towel's absorbency or how quickly it dries. In fact, a higher GSM waffle towel will likely be thicker and heavier and may actually hold on to moisture much longer!
